MOM is an exciting distance treatment research program for women with postpartum depression living in Nova Scotia.

With MOM you can overcome depression in the comfort and privacy of your own home. You can learn valuable skills that will help you deal with depression and learn how to prevent depression from coming back.

The MOM treatment program uses cognitive behavioural therapy, which combines both changing thoughts and behaviour to overcome depression. The treatment uses manuals, videos and weekly telephone sessions with a coach. Your coach is trained to provide support and help guide your through the treatment.

The MOM program is a partnership with Public Health Services and researchers at the IWK Health Centre. Together with Public Health we have formed an Advisory Committee that plays an active and important role in recruiting women to be screened for treatment in many districts in Nova Scotia.

For more information about MOM feel free to contact us toll-free: 1-866-470-7111 option #3 on the main menu. Your call is very important to us—please leave a detailed message with your name and number. We will return your call promptly.
